HawkMtn Labs, Inc is a second generation, family owned business located in Hazle Township, Pennsylvania.
1985 marked the beginning of HawkMtn Labs in the Pottsville, Pennsylvania area.
Initially, the business was established as a recycler of precious metals. Industry dictated a need and HawkMtn Labs quickly diversified the analytical offerings to include Drinking Water, Waste Water and Coal/ Energy Testing. In the mid 1990's the business relocated to the Hazleton area. This move proved to be a logistically sound decision. HawkMtn Labs was now in the middle of the Anthracite Region with easy access to I-80 & 81 and the PA Turnpike.
HawkMtn Labs has developed significantly since its inception in 1985. Around 1999 the second generation of the family took control of the ownership.
One of the majors courses of action was to secure the necessary certifications needed to advance the business as a serious player in the world of environmental and analytical testing.
Today HawkMtn Labs holds certifications with the National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (NELAP); International Standards Organization: ISO_9001-2000, and Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PA DEP).
Certifications can not be obtained nor retained unless other necessary factors are part of the business plan. To advance the business further several strategic professional staff positions have been added, including Technical Director and Laboratory Manager. Over two million dollars has been invested in software and instrumentation, which has allowed HawkMtn Labs to own and operate some of the most technologically advanced equipment available in the industry.
Immediate future plans include the construction of additional office and laboratory space, and pursuit of ISO 17025 Certification. Additionally, HawkMtn Labs is planning a strategic move into materials/concrete testing.
HawkMtn Labs continues to grow and be a significant provider of analytical services and resources. As a company we strive to deliver excellence to our clients.
